I posted this on Facebook recently, shared from a friend, who shared it from another friend so I really don’t know who to give credit to, but I felt that it deserved acknowledgement for helping me realize the truth and importance in the message.
I am a hugger – hello, my name is Jennifer, and I am a hugger! I hug my kids before they head down the lane to catch the bus to school, I hug my husband before he heads out the door to work each morning, I hug my kids as soon as they walk in the door after school, I hug them throughout the evening just because, and I hug them as I tuck them in at night.
I love giving hugs, but I love getting them even more. You know the kind of hug I am talking about – when you can tell the person giving it is giving it with all their love and strength.
My daughter Calli, age 16, has an amazing hug. This post instantly made me think of her hugs and the power that they hold. I am not sure she knows it, and frankly I don’t think she reads my posts, but maybe someday she will. Her hug has magical healing powers that seem to make everything all better.
If I could bottle up her healing hugs, I would…or maybe I could try harder to give hugs just like it!
If you are reading this, I am sending you a magical Calli hug right now!
Until next time,
