My 2.5 year old started to learn and understand the idea behind Valentine’s Day this year so we spent some time making valentines for people we love. (I’m not a fan of commercialized view of Valentine’s Day but love to instill the ideas of giving to others and spreading love!)It started with just his aunts and uncles and led into his cousins, and all of the puppies in our family (he loves puppies! and insisted we get something for them too…)

So we hit up the dollar store and found some feminine and non-feminine lip chap and some for the little girls in our lives because it has been one dry cold winter! I figure at least people may get use out of it! We made some cards that he lovingly coloured.

For the puppies we bought some Beggin’ Strips and added a label on a baggie. “I Chew Chew Chews You!”

For the little boys we decided to build some hearts out of lego. In a baggie they went with a cute Valentine! (sadly we ran out of coloured ink… so black and white it was!)

Happy Valentine’s Day!
